The Graduate Program in Dentistry

The Graduate Program in Dentistry (PPGO) at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) aims at preparing high-level professionals for the practice of teaching, research and outreach. The Program focuses on carrying out advanced studies in the field of Dentistry, generating knowledge, developing research, educating students, and producing final dissertations and theses as a result of research activity.

The Graduate Program in Dentistry has academic Master´s and Doctoral degree programs, with duration of 2 years and 4 years, respectively. The courses offered by the program are in-person, free of charge, divided into semesters  and taught in Portuguese. The academic semesters at UFSC take place between March and June (1st semester) and August and November (2nd semester). Summer vacations are between December and February and winter vacations are in July.
